Quex FarmED offers hands-on opportunities for Home School Enrichment

We’re delighted to introduce Quex FarmED, our Home Education programme at Quex Adventure Farm Park – designed to inspire curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning through hands-on, outdoor experiences.

Quex FarmED offers a relaxed, sociable environment where children can learn through doing. We provide the facilities, resources, and opportunities for learning, while parents remain actively involved in guiding and supporting their children throughout the day. These sessions are designed to be parent-led, creating a collaborative and flexible learning experience rather than a classroom-based one.

What does Quex FarmED involve?

Each weekly session follows a gentle framework that includes:

  • Animal experiences – learning about our farm animals, their care, habitats, and behaviours

  • Workshops & activities – themed learning supported by worksheets or factsheets, with plenty of practical, hands-on elements

  • Horticulture – planting, growing, and seasonal farm activities

  • Nature-based play – outdoor exploration, agility activities, nature trails, and wildlife spotting

Children are encouraged to engage at their own pace, with parents supporting learning in a way that best suits their child.

More details about our programme

Parent-led approach & responsibility

Parents remain responsible for their children at all times throughout the session. Our team facilitates activities and the environment, while parents support learning, behaviour, and participation. This approach allows families to adapt the day to suit their child’s needs and interests.

Younger siblings

Younger siblings are welcome to accompany families. Activities are designed for children aged 4+ and some may not be suitable for younger ages. Parents are expected to supervise younger siblings closely and ensure their presence does not impact the experience of other children taking part.

Lunch options

Families may bring a packed lunch, or lunch can be provided for £5 per child. Please let us know in advance if you would like to pre-book lunch.

What to bring & wear

As sessions are primarily outdoors, we recommend weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy footwear. Please come prepared for muddy boots, fresh air, and all-weather learning. Indoor facilities and sheltered areas are available if needed.

Facilities & comfort

Toilets and hand-washing facilities are available on site, along with access to seating areas and shelter. Our kitchen may be open during sessions, depending on the day.

Additional needs

If your child has any additional needs, allergies, or medical considerations, please get in touch ahead of your visit so we can best support your family.

Our booking system will go live on 13th February 8:00am, with sessions released on a termly basis.
